Baltic Fort Route: awarded as the best transborder project in Poland

“Baltic Fort Route” and city of Kostrzyn has won the first award in a category transborder cooperation in the competition organized by the Polish Ministry of Regional Development “7 miracles of EU funds” on 7th of May 2008.

By receiving this awards the projects activities and achieved results during the last three years has been recognized as good practice example in tourism development in the Baltic Sea region.

Furthermore this award will ensure wider promotion of project results on national as well on EU level.

The Baltic Fort Route involved 19 partners from 4 nations and worked on promoting the transformation of historical fortifications into centres of culture, art, leisure, tourism and fascinating nature, in line with the philosophy “From war to peace”, “From closed mystery locations to public living space” and “From military to cultural”.
