INTERREG programmes after enlargement

As from 1 January 2004, four new Member States joined the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) INTERREG III B programme as fully eligible members. The ERDF allocation from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to transnational cooperation activities is approximately EUR 25 million. This amount is co-financed by the new Member States' project partners with 25% own contributions. The participation is eligible from 1 January 2004 - so the 5th application round (12 January to 27 February 2004) was open for partners from present and new Member States. In addition, two new IIIA priorities in the Baltic States are organised under the present III B implementation structure. First cross-border priority (North) involves Estonia, Latvia and Russia, and second (South) - Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus. First application calls for IIIA priorities were launched in October 2004.

Costs for partners from new Member States are eligible as from 1 January 2004.
